Time..Be My Friend!

In one of the finest moments that I have experienced in near past, I felt that time needs to stop and take a look at the grim on my face and give me one of its few more moments to be with the person whose companionship I cherish the most. And there came its reply, "I am here to give you my moments, are you ready to grab them?" It made me realize that I had been racing against time to see what was lying ahead. Immediately, I grabbed those gifted moments and thanked GOD for giving me the intellect to act on it. There was an air of solemnity in the conversation that was carried out in those moments. There was an ocean of emotional waves being formed in those moments. There was a room of silence in those moments. And yet, those moments were the most precious ones that I have sealed in my non-volatile memory for years to come. O Time! please be my friend always as you were a while back! I promise to acknowledge your friendship by filling your moments with more love and joy!!

Be Your Own Builder

This was the quotation read by a Real Estate agency on my way back from Austin. The quotation was written in the context of the real estsate domain but I interpreted it in more broader terms. Everyone in this world has a specific role to play. Everyone is equipped with resources required to play their role in terms of time, physical body, intellect, virtues, unique talents, etc. Its like giving a child a lego game with a set of building blocks and asking it to build a structure out of it. All the above mentioned resources are nothing but the building blocks. We have to build a solid structure out of it such that it can epitomize our wonderful and purposeful existence on this planet. No one else can do this job for us. We have to dig the hole and lay the foundation. There will be helping hands whenever we are in need. There are many role models around us or in our knowledgebase from whom we can be inspired! But we need to cut the chord ourselves. Life will then truely be driven in its highest dimension. One of my wonder worlds yet to explore!!

Living or Surviving?

In the busy world of today, I do not know how many people really ponder over how the time is guaging our skill of living. Right from the start of the day when the morning alarm greets a good morning to the end of the day when the TV news greet a good night, our minds are fairly programmed to keep doing things in a pretty much routine fashion. Everyone seems to be running after different subjects of concern ranging from money, fame, career, relationship, family matters, religion, politics, socialism, body fitness, etc. All these subjects are capable enough to consume (or I am tempted to use 'drain') a huge amount of an individual's two non-renewable resources , time and health. In the race to become far-sighted, are we becoming long-sighted? Better framed, are we living our life or just surviving? Worth giving a second thought?

Did you Thank God Today?

This was the quotation read by a car in front of me while I was driving to work a few days back. It was a very touching statement that stirred my emotional realm. I realized how important it is to remember our safe existence on this earth protected by thousand hands of the Almighty and how easily we put it in the list of 'taking for granted' things. I immediately thanked God for making me remember to thank Him and to ask for His blessing to make each day more wonderful and adding some worth to life!

Things don't just happen, they are made to happen!

I have experienced the veracity of one of the powerful statement which reads 'Like attracts like' over the recent years. This shortliner comprising of three words is worth a thousand page book. Lately, I have been reading quite a few books pondering over self development and revelation. Books have a significant impact on our thought process and day to day living. My thoughts made a slight drift towards the subject matter from the usual materialistic subjects. I started thinking positively about everything happening in my life! To my surprise, I found that I was getting attracted to and by the people who are on a similar wavelength as mine and we started sharing more and more information about the subject of personal upliftment and awareness. I also encountered a series of events that made me realize that just because I changed the perception of how I see things in life, things started to happen in accordance to that perception. I do believe in destiny but I also believe that life cannot be put on hold for destiny and should go on regardless with full spirit, efforts and prayers. Who knows destiny might change its mind one day!!

A quick catch up with a close friend is enough to warm your self!

Experienced this on Friday (02/23/2007) during a surprise dinner with my old college friend.

An evening on Venus

In good trance, though exhausted, on the rainy evening I had an invite from my ex-manager to attend a spa demo at her home. It was a wonderful experience putting a
break on my routine retreat. The lady who hosted the demo was quite emphatic in marketing the beauty and relaxation items. The exposition was praiseworthy and pretty
much succeeded in making everyone feel complacent and thereby convinced about the effectiveness of the product. It started with a 2 minute hand massage followed by
a 5 minute pedicure experiment. More exciting was the 15 minutes relaxation exercise during which the lady applied massage on the left forearm, placed a wrapped
ointment over the eye, and directed the subjects to perform a deep breathing with a soothing music running in the background. The audience comprised of 5 young
ladies from my office including myself. The demo made everyone realize that no matter how busy or stressed our lives may be, we should give sometime to pamper and
take care of our self.
I left the place with a word of thanks for the lady host and my ex-manager who arranged for the demo at her house. Life is indeed full of experiences. Its our call
to pick and remember the best ones!!

God answers a hundred little questions in thousand different ways!!

Just plugging in my phone to the other side where a respected gentleman, who is quite spiritual, gives me enough boost to live life to the full and remembering the Divine, strengthens my faith that HE indeed answers questions and listens to you when you need them..

Types of Fear and winning it--An excerpt from 'Learn to Live'

Fear is a natural inborn trait of all, it is an instinct. There are several causes of fear

- The threat to our existence or to our liberty or thoughts about such a threat sows the seeds of fear in our mind.
- The lack of confidence in our ability to face the problems of life also instills fear in us.
- Inferiority complex naturally leads to fear.

Once a person faces a danger and successfully comes out of it, he develops a sense of courage and self confidence. A healthy sense of fear makes us justly cautious. But exaggerated, imaginary and negative fear is certainly harmful. The sense of danger should inspire us to find methods of crossing the obstacle of danger. In this sense fear should be taken as a challenge. It is an opportunity to awaken our inner strength.

Origin of Fear
--------------------------------------------------------------
Where does fear take its origin? It is the contemplation of danger ahead and the associated harm, which have their impact on the subconscious mind. When the intensity of fear increases and the picture of the danger emerges more clearly, the mind sets to translate fear into reality.
