Be Your Own Builder

This was the quotation read by a Real Estate agency on my way back from Austin. The quotation was written in the context of the real estsate domain but I interpreted it in more broader terms. Everyone in this world has a specific role to play. Everyone is equipped with resources required to play their role in terms of time, physical body, intellect, virtues, unique talents, etc. Its like giving a child a lego game with a set of building blocks and asking it to build a structure out of it. All the above mentioned resources are nothing but the building blocks. We have to build a solid structure out of it such that it can epitomize our wonderful and purposeful existence on this planet. No one else can do this job for us. We have to dig the hole and lay the foundation. There will be helping hands whenever we are in need. There are many role models around us or in our knowledgebase from whom we can be inspired! But we need to cut the chord ourselves. Life will then truely be driven in its highest dimension. One of my wonder worlds yet to explore!!

Living or Surviving?

In the busy world of today, I do not know how many people really ponder over how the time is guaging our skill of living. Right from the start of the day when the morning alarm greets a good morning to the end of the day when the TV news greet a good night, our minds are fairly programmed to keep doing things in a pretty much routine fashion. Everyone seems to be running after different subjects of concern ranging from money, fame, career, relationship, family matters, religion, politics, socialism, body fitness, etc. All these subjects are capable enough to consume (or I am tempted to use 'drain') a huge amount of an individual's two non-renewable resources , time and health. In the race to become far-sighted, are we becoming long-sighted? Better framed, are we living our life or just surviving? Worth giving a second thought?
